Day 1: Arica - Socoroma - Putre.

After the pick up from your hostel we leave for the local market el Agro and make a visit to Azapa valley to see the world's oldest mummy at the Azapa museum. Geo glyphs, fertile soils in the valley Lluta, the village of Poconchile, chandelier cactuses Pukara Copaquilla show them selves on our zig zag road into the Altiplano. We enjoy lunch at Zapahuira, visit Socoroma and in the afternoon reach our destination Putre at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level.

Day 2: Putre - National Park Lauca - Arica.

We leave in the morning and on our way to Park Lauca we do a small walk at the caves, observing the flora and fauna, the views from Chucuyo and Lake Cotacotani decorate our Altiplano experience. Visiting the village of Parinacota is another Altiplano delight and next; at 4500 meters we get to Lake Chungara which is the highlight of Park Lauca. After close looks at the birdlife and lunch has been digested a relaxing dip at the hot springs of Jurasi bring us on our way back to Arica where we arrive in the late afternoon.
